Gina Porretti

Fox Sports, SVP, Studio Operations

Gina Porretti serves as senior vice president of studio operations at Fox Sports, where she manages multiple studios and control rooms between two facilities. She supports all studio production and operational workflows for Fox Sports and Fox Sports 1.

Porretti joined Fox in 1996, where she began her career managing the scheduling department. She was in charge of overseeing the department handling all transmission scheduling along with post production and graphics facilities for Fox Sports, FSN, and FBC On-Air Promotions. In 1998, Porretti became the technical manager for Fox Sports Net. In this role, she ran studio operations for Fox Sports News, as well as remote technical operations in the coverage of all major sporting events.

Porretti began her career in 1990 at Sanders and Company, a small production company in Indianapolis, IN, where she began learning studio production. She started running the teleprompter for a weekly national show produced by Ohlmeyer Communications called This Week in CART, which aired weekly on ABC and featured the weekend outcome in the Indy Cart circuit. She was soon asked to go out on remotes and work as a production assistant on the racing circuit. It was there that Porretti caught the bug for production management.

In 1992, Porretti moved to LA and was offered a job at E! Entertainment television. She served four years at E! as the production manager for all live entertainment red carpet events and movie premieres. Porretti also managed the scheduling department, handling all transmission scheduling, studio production, scheduling post facilities, and ENG crews for features and news stories.

Since 1996, when she left E! to join Fox, Porretti has flourished in multiple roles and moved upward in the organization. She just celebrated 20 years at Fox and continues to thrive in her career there, as she was recently promoted to her current role of SVP of studio operations.
