John Faratzis

Second Screen Sports, CEO and EP

John Faratzis has spent his entire adulthood producing coverage of high profile sporting events for virtually all of the major broadcasters. Many events were live and in primetime, including three Super Bowls, top venues at five Olympic Games, multiple College Football National Championship Bowl Games, NCAA Tournament Basketball, and the NBA Playoffs. Earlier this month Faratzis produced the Manny Pacquiao pay-per-view fight for Top Rank Promotions.

Drawing from his broad and deep experience producing popular sports and made-for-TV special events, Faratzis created Second Screen Sports. It is a live interactive sports and game show concept that allows viewers to interact with competitions in real time as they make changes to the competition parameters and add areas of enhanced scoring opportunities. This year the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued Faratzis a patent for his interactive playing surface.

While pioneering the production of hundreds of live and quick turnaround poker shows, Faratzis earned one of his nine producing Emmys and came to understand the importance of producing effective companion social elements.
